Frequently asked questions
How many days do you need for a Scandinavia tour with the Northern Lights?
Ten days works well. This Scandinavia tour covers Stockholm, Finnish Lapland, Tromso, the Havila coastal cruise, the North Cape and Oslo. The pacing gives two nights in Stockholm, time in Lapland and the Arctic Norway coast, and still gets you home within ten days.
Where do I see the Northern Lights on this tour?
There are two strong chances. You spend a night in a glass igloo in Levi with a clear roof for sky watching, and you join a guided Northern Lights bus tour by coach in Tromso from 9 pm to midnight with a step-on guide. The ship nights on the Havila coastal cruise also give open deck views.
Are Indian vegetarian meals available on this Scandinavia tour?
Yes. Indian meals are included on most days, including Indian lunch and dinner in Stockholm, Rovaniemi and Tromso. Hotel breakfast and city tax are also included. Please share any dietary needs when you book so we can plan ahead.
What is included in the Havila coastal cruise part of the trip?
Two nights on board the Havila coastal cruise in an Inside Economy cabin on twin share, with breakfast on board and the sailing between Tromso and Kirkenes. The North Cape visit with transfers from the ship is also included.
