About This Tour
This Kenya safari links five very different places in eight days: the Aberdare forests, the rhino sanctuary at Lake Nakuru, the Masai Mara grasslands, Lake Naivasha and Hell's Gate. Daily breakfast is at the hotel and bottled water is provided on safari days. Lunches and dinners are included, with Indian vegetarian, Jain and Swaminarayan meals.
You are met at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and taken to your hotel in Nairobi. The next morning you travel to the Aberdare region, known for its mountain scenery, dense forest and wildlife. On day three you stop at Thomson's Falls, where the water drops into a scenic gorge, then take a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park to look for white and black rhinos and the park's birdlife.
The Masai Mara is the heart of the trip. You arrive on day four for an afternoon game drive, then spend a full day on guided drives across the grasslands looking for lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo, along with cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes and antelopes. A visit to a traditional Maasai village shows you the community's homes and way of life.
The last stop is Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake known for birdlife and hippos. You explore Hell's Gate National Park and the Ol Njorowa Gorge area, subject to park conditions, and take a boat ride on the lake. On day eight you drive back to Nairobi for your flight home. With guided game drives and every main meal included, it suits families who want a full safari circuit in eight days.
