About This Tour
Thirteen days across South Africa, from the bush of Kruger to the Cape. You begin in Johannesburg and Pretoria, spend a day at Sun City Resort and then head to Kruger National Park for a game drive in search of the Big Five.
From there you travel to Gqeberha for the Garden Route, with Tsitsikamma National Park, the Storms River Suspension Bridge, the Knysna Waterfront and the Cango Caves near Oudtshoorn. The trip ends in Cape Town with Table Mountain, a helicopter ride, the Cape Peninsula and the penguins of Boulders Beach. A tour manager travels with you.
This South Africa tour is a thirteen day journey from Johannesburg to Cape Town, with twelve nights in hotels, travel in an air-conditioned vehicle and an experienced tour manager. It combines a Kruger safari, the Garden Route and the Cape Peninsula. Meals are as stated in your final itinerary.
The trip begins with the Pretoria National Botanical Garden on the way to Sun City, where you have a full day to enjoy the resort. You then travel to the Kruger National Park region for a game drive in an open safari vehicle with a guide, looking for lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. Back in Johannesburg you visit Nelson Mandela Square.
A flight to Gqeberha starts the Garden Route. You walk toward the Storms River Suspension Bridge in Tsitsikamma National Park, spend time at the Knysna Waterfront and travel to Oudtshoorn for the Cango Caves, an ostrich farm and the Cango Wildlife Ranch. In Mossel Bay you see the Post Office Tree and the Cape St. Blaize Lighthouse, then visit a winery in Stellenbosch on the way to Cape Town. The Garden Route drive west to Cape Town is spread over five days, so the trip suits travelers who want wildlife, coast and city in one journey.
Cape Town brings a helicopter ride, weather permitting, the Table Mountain cable car and the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.
