Seoul

Sights: Incheon International Airport Seoul city transfer

Your South Korea add-on begins in Osaka. After breakfast, you transfer to the airport for your flight to Incheon. On arrival at Incheon International Airport, our local representative will meet you and drive you to Seoul, about an hour from the airport depending on traffic. Check in at the hotel, then take time to settle in and rest after the flight. In the evening, the group gathers for a welcome dinner nearby. The day is intentionally easy, so you arrive fresh for the full sightseeing day that follows. Overnight in Seoul.

Day 2: Seoul, DMZ, palaces and hanok lanes

Seoul

Sights: DMZ, Cheong Wa Dae (Blue House), Gyeongbokgung Palace, Insadong, K-Beauty, Bukchon Hanok Village

After breakfast, you leave the city for the DMZ tour, the demilitarised zone along the border with North Korea. Your guide walks you through the history of the peninsula and the sites open to visitors here. On the way back into Seoul, the coach drives past Cheong Wa Dae, the former Blue House and official residence of the president of South Korea, with a photo stop. Lunch is at an Indian restaurant in the city. The afternoon is spent at Gyeongbokgung Palace, the grand seat of the Joseon dynasty, followed by free time in Insadong for K-beauty shopping and the small galleries and tea houses on its lanes. You end the afternoon with a walk through Bukchon Hanok Village, where traditional Korean houses still line the streets. Dinner is together as a group. Overnight in Seoul.

Day 3: Nami Island and Petite France day trip

Seoul

Sights: Gapyeong Wharf, Nami Island, Petite France

After breakfast, you drive out of Seoul to Gapyeong Wharf, about an hour and a half east through the countryside. From the wharf, a short ferry carries you across to Nami Island, the half-moon-shaped river island known for its tree-lined walking paths and quiet landscapes. You have time to walk the island at your own pace before an Indian lunch. In the afternoon, you continue to Petite France, a colourful French-themed cultural village set among the hills, with its painted buildings, small museums and viewpoints. By early evening, the coach returns you to the hotel in Seoul for dinner. Overnight in Seoul.

Day 4: Seoul farewell and departure

Seoul

Sights: Incheon International Airport transfer

After breakfast at the hotel, you check out and transfer to Incheon International Airport for your onward flight. Your tour representative will confirm the pickup time the evening before, based on your flight. The drive to the airport takes around an hour outside peak traffic, so timings are built with that in mind. You leave Seoul with the memory of the DMZ, the palace halls, the hanok lanes and the quiet of Nami Island. We hope the add-on gave you a real taste of Korea and a reason to come back for a longer visit next time.
