EXCURSION TO MT. TITLIS

EXCURSION TO MT. TITLIS | TAKE FIRST 360-DEGREE ROTATING CABLE CAR RIDE

oday after Breakfast, we will take you on a scenic coach journey southwards through picturesque landscapes via the Albis Pass and along the shores of the Lake of the Four Forested Cantons (as Lake Lucerne is romantically called in German) to Lucerne. We’ll stop in this historic city for a brief tour of the main sights, including the Lion Monument, which was described by deck Twain as ‘the most mournful and moving piece of stone in the world’. You will then have some time to explore the Old Town at your own leisure. Admire the frescoed façades and fairytale turrets of the narrow streets and DEvel at the wooden Chapel Bridge. Afterwards, we’ll continue our journey to Engelberg, the picture-postcard alpine village nestling at the foot of Mount Titlis. We’ll take a number of cable cars to reach the summit, which is more than 3,000 metres above sea level. Enjoy the spectacular sight of the glacier’s deep crevasses and gigantic ice boulders from the revolving gondola lift, allowing you an unrestricted 360-degree view of the landscape. BLACK FOREST – RHINE FALLS

Today after Breakfast drive to Black Forest we drive through the Black Forest, enjoy the tree-lined alpine views, and be fascinated by the deep gorges along the way. We then arrive at the small town of Lake Titisee-Neustadt in the middle of the Black Forest, among dark fir trees, high hills, spectacular cliffs and gentle valleys sits the largest natural lake in the Black Forest, Titisee, which stretches for some 2 km (over 1 mile). Here enjoy some free time to wander the quaint streets and relax by the lake or shop for locally made cuckoo clocks as well as a varied selection of souvenirs. Later Drive to Rhine Falls, the Largest waterfall in Europe. Overnight stay in Switzerland.

EXPLORE JUNGFRAUJOCH | TAKE THE HIGHEST TRAIN TO MT. JUNGFRAUJOCH -THE TOP OF EUROPE (OPTIONAL)

After continental breakfast at the hotel proceed to the railways station to board the train from Zurich Ost to Grindelwald, from where you take the cogwheel train that takes you to the top of Mt Jungfraujoch the Europe highest railway station at11333 ft. Experience the view from the biggest glacier in the Alps, the Aletsch Glacier and Ice Palace. Later drive for Orientation tour of Interlaken. Visit Trummelbach Falls, a series of ten glacier-fed waterfalls inside the mountain made accessible by a tunnel-funicular, built 1913, stairs, and illumination Overnight at Interlaken.
